In March of 2005, a new airline into the virtual airline system, Global Star Virtual Airlines. Was started by Ryan Finn from New York.  Started out flying with 6 737-200s operating 85 daily flights of Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Within 3 months, Global Star expanded with 10 732s and 9 destinations mainly located in the Eastern United States.

In July the fleet obtained a new aircraft, the 757-200. This plane made cross country flight available to Global Star. The first flight from Chicago to LAX was completed round July 4th, and that began daily flights to and from LAX.

By August 2005, the fleet consisted of 12 737-200s and 5 757-200s serving 15 destinations and over 200 daily flights. That same year in December, a new paint scheme was released (now currently the retro fleet). Also, daily flights were now in operation between LAX and Hawaii. First used the 757s for the travel, but then it was changed and only the 737s made the overseas journey possible. First 737-800s were bought and went for test flights over the next few months.

First thing in January 2006, another new paint scheme was released. This took the place of the now retro fleet but did not stay with the airline for very long.

In April 2006, Global Star’s charter Starjet appeared. The fleet consisted of the Airbus 319 and the CR2. The A319 took the place of the 737-200 and has been retired from the fleet ever since.  Most of the 757s still remained in the retro scheme for the time being.

In April 2006, drastic changes were made to Global Star. We started buying planes in large numbers and our fleet tripled in 4 short months. New paint scheme was released which is now the modern day colors of the fleet.

In July 2006, Global Star added the Boeing 767, it replaced the 757-200 we have had since the beginning of the airline. The 767 was painted and is now mainly used for cross country and international flights. This has started Global Star where we all know it to be today.

In early March 2007, our beloved CEO Ryan Finn steps down to pursue his new airline, EastJet Virtual Airways. The COO Brandon Kiefer stepped up to the CEO position and is still operating his incredible airline today.

On June 30, 2007 the merge between Global Star Virtual Airlines and Family Virtual Airlines is finalized. The incorperation between the two airlines has now began.
